Our Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

An amazing half term for Sport.  Our Y5/6 Netball team won the fair play award, our U9 Cricket Team came third in Calderdale and our Y5/6 Girls Cricket Team scored 103 runs off 40 balls in their first team event! An amazing achievement for all the teams playing together for the first time as a Federation in their events.  We are really proud of you all!  Many thanks to Emily and 5Sport for sponsoring our kit and supporting the children at the events.

Rock Kidz visited for an interactive music and dance rock session to promote emotional health and wellbeing and self esteem.  Many thanks to Rock Kidz - an amazing time was had by all!

Children took part in Wear your scarf to school day to promote our SCARF values as part of Children's Mental Health week to promote positive mental health strategies.

Class 3 worked with their parents to plan a Birthday party.  It is lovely to be able to welcome parents back in to school! Comments from parents included:  Thank you for organising this great opportunity to see the children in a class environment.  All of the pupils are really engaged and enjoying the work too! Great to see!   It was great fun! Really enjoyed the lesson and would be lovely to do it more often.

Y3/4 girls took part in a Football game against Greetland in their first outing as a Federation team .... and won 6 goals to 4.  Well done girls - an amazing achievement!

Great morning, thank you! It was a really engaging session and fantastic to see what the children are learning.  Nice to see all the children so happy and engaging in learning.  Great to be part of our children's learning in person.

Class 2 explored the school environment, the natural landscape, local buildings, maps, and their own sense of place and schools around the world. They created a photocollage artwork and learnt about composition, proportion and perspective.

Class 1 enjoyed producing artwork and launching a Rocket outside as part of their workshop!

Our Upper School production of 'The Stars come out for Christmas' and Lower School production of 'Sparkle'.  Well done to everyone!

Christmas Dinner and Jumper Day!

Class 3 Art

Thanks to Yvette Hughes from Ryburn Valley High School for working with Class 3 on their Festival of Hope project.

Class 4 open morning

Parent Comments: Really enjoyed today's workshop.  Really liked that it was very interactive and it seems the children really enjoyed it.  Great session. Really good task that the children really learnt from.  Many thanks.

Stone Age Workshop with www.historicalinterpretations.org

We used artefacts to learn about the Stone Age and how the stone age became the Iron Age.  We had fun drawing pictures of the different artefacts too.  I loved using the tools and learning about how they were made. It was great!
